What is an Industry Liaison Group?
Industry Liaison Group (ILG) is a concept spawned by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance (OFCCP) programs in the early 1980’s to encourage open communication between industry and the OFCCP. The objectives have expanded since the ILG’s beginnings to include partnerships with other government agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and state and local agencies. Local ILGs are found in every Department of Labor (DOL) region.
What is the National Industry Liaison Group?
The National Industry Liaison Group (ILG) is the premier employer association on affirmative action and equal employment opportunity in the United States, supporting approximately 200 ILGs. The NILG is proud of the voluntary and unique partnership of public and private sector cooperation, it has been able to foster as an effective approach in dealing with important legal and regulatory issues regarding affirmative action and equal opportunity. No other employer association has a broader base of constituents focused on EEO/AA matters.
How is Philadelphia ILG Funded?
The Philadelphia Industry Liaison Group is a non-profit organization that is supported by revenue derived from programs and donations from its member companies. There is no cost for joining and no membership fees. We partner with and rely on our member organizations to plan and implement programs.
