Developing and Implementing an Affirmative Action Program

PDTI’s CAAP Two Virtual Training Program Continues on Monday, January 10th with Developing and Implementing an Affirmative Action Program
AAAED’s Professional Development and Training Institute (PDTI) continues with “CAAP Two Virtual: Developing and Implementing an Affirmative Action Program (D&I)” on January 10, 2022. This is the second of the three courses leading to the Certified Affirmative Action Professional (CAAP) credential.  This course concentrates on the development and implementation of Affirmative Action Programs (AAPs) set forth in Executive Order 11246. The course will cover the law of affirmative action (constitutional, statutory, and regulatory), and will teach participants how to develop and implement an AAP pursuant to U.S. Department of Labor regulations that govern federal contractors.  Participants will learn about job group formation, labor market availability determinations, incumbency assessments, goal establishment and attainment, analytical tools, record keeping requirements, and Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) compliance evaluations. This course will also have a special focus on the development and implementation of Affirmative Action Programs for Veterans and the Disabled. To receive the CAAP take all three courses: 1) EEO and Affirmative Action Law, 2) Developing and Implementing an Affirmative Action Program, and 3) Complaint Processing, Counseling, and Resolution. Each class is 16 hours in length and will be held two hours a week, twice a week for four weeks. You may enroll in one, two, or three courses at a time. The CAAP credential is a symbol of excellence and attests to the expertise of the professional who holds it. PDTI’s educational programs are designed to enhance legal knowledge and technical and administrative skills in equal employment opportunity, affirmative action, and diversity and to ensure that EEO/AA/Diversity professionals remain current in issues affecting their profession. Who should enroll? EEO and affirmative action professionals, Labor and Employment lawyers, human resources professionals with affirmative action in their portfolios, EEO/AA consultants, state and local government staff with EEO/AA in their portfolios, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) professionals, and others who wish to develop legally-defensible employment policies and diversity goals. Find the class schedule for these courses and visit our AAAED PDTI web page at PDTI Training.
